Health Canada has introduced changes allowing broader legal access to marijuana for medical purposes and legalized marijuana is expected by July 1st 2018. The agricultural industry has many questions about how to safely produce, safely handle and safely manage the duality of marijuana production and prevention of on the job use. This session is aimed at shedding light on newly published and emerging international research related to occupational exposure, review of “the lessons learned” from our U.S. neighbors, safety implications of use on or off the job, and to help clarify for employers the do’s and don’ts of industrial production.
