The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association will hold its annual conference and AGM in Vancouver, British Columbia, November 16 - 18, 2011.

The theme is PLAN.FARM. SAFETY. checking the plan!  Everyone involved in farm safety in Canada – professionals, researchers, producers, suppliers and manufacturers – is invited to share solutions for positive transformation within Canada’s ag safety culture.

Check out the program.  It’s informative and interactive.  And the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals has awarded the conference 1.0 CMPs. The CMP approval number is 11370.

Start with the Wednesday workshops, participate in the plenary sessions and jump on the bus for Thursday’s tour to check out safety innovations at Gipaanda greenhouses in the lower mainland.

There’s lots of networking built in to the conference including the Welcome Reception Wednesday evening and Thursday’s Beluga Bollywood Banquet at the Vancouver Aquarium!  Buy a ticket for a guest.

This year’s conference is being held in conjunction with the Canadian Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion Conference. Same time. Same place. We’ve planned several social opportunities to get together with the Injury Prevention conference.  Our registration desks and meeting rooms share the hotel conference space.  You’ll meet colleagues and make new safety friends.

The theme of the 2011 Canadian Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion Conference is Be Visible, connecting Evidence to Action in Injury, Violence and Suicide Prevention.

The conference is sponsored by Safe Communities Canada, Safe Kids Canada, SMARTRISK, the Canadian Red Cross and ThinkFirst Canada.
